 Whenever I'm using Pidgin, it'll say that some of my buddies are available
 when in reality they're away.

 If you look at the picture I have attached, the buddy "Thad" is supposed
 to be away, but Pidgin shows him as available.  Now it doesn't do this to
 all my buddies, as you can see some of the are away.
