 not sure if this is something to address but AIM interrupts more images
 than pidgin does, for example i know a friend has a heart in her profile
 but i see it as a red Y, there are others too, a shamrock maybe?

 not sure if its a too specific or if hylke is up to figuring out possible
 images and making them, though no idea how difficult it is to implement
