Comment:

 Is there a chance that the auto-resizing of the input box when composing a
 sent message is causing the top box to scroll up a bit. Then, when the
 message is sent, the top box doesn't scroll down because it's not already
 at the bottom?

 That's the only thing I can think that would cause this right now, and I
 want to try to fix it.
