 hm. good point. This is clearer for conversations: upon paste, show the
 tags that couldn't be converted to plaintext. The user can edit these. If
 the protocol doesn't allow HTML, then that's how it would get sent anyway.

 For status messages, I'd say the same thing, but that doesn't work well if
 you have accounts on multiple protocols. One thing that could happen is
 just strip them, but that brings up the question how does pidgin know what
 an HTML tag is...I'm guessing strip anything in <> tags, even though that
 just seems like a generally bad idea :-\

 Easy solution for menu items: Grey out the menu item if a protocol that
 doesn't support HTML is involved. So if I was using <insert non-HTML
 protocol here> and AIM, then if I right clicked to insert HTML in the away
 message, the option would be greyed out unless I was setting a separate
 message for AIM.
