 Assume there is a network outage. While pidgin tries to reconnect, a
 specific icon is shown in the tray (featuring 2 connectors).
 However, if the network is still unavailable, pidgin cannot connect. The
 tray icon returns to the icon representing the last used status which is
 misleading, because the user is informed this way that everything is ok,
 while in fact pidgin is not connected.

 I would expect an icon depicting a disconnected state to be shown.
