 i've seen that when i have pidgin running if i connect the usb cable of my
 samsung mp3 reader nothing happens...

 i mean...i do not see any tray telling me that the hardware has been
 connected or something like that...i cannot find it even if i surf all
 around the devices...

 on the other hand if i close pidgin and try to connect the mp3 reader
 everything goes in the right way...

 ps: i'm using pidgin under windows xp...thanks a lot
