 I've taken a look at this patch. I've made a number of changes. You had
 some stray duplicate code for writing files. I changed some formatting.
 etc. etc. The biggest functional changes are to the string building code
 to make it more efficient. Can you test the patch I'll attach in a minute
 and make sure it still works for you? (I wasn't able to test this at the
 moment.) It's relative to the im.pidgin.pidgin.2.1.0 branch, so you'll get
 (harmless) errors about ChangeLog.API and ChangeLog at least, if you try
 to apply to im.pidgin.pidgin. I'd recommend you just checkout a copy of
 im.pidgin.pidgin.2.1.0, though.
