#516: libgnt/gntwm.c fails to compile in Solaris

Comment (by dhalik):
Yes, no issue here. We build against ncursesw for lots of programs and
like I said earlier, if I explicitly define _XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED finch
and ncurses support works great. Ncursesw just means it was compiled with
wide-character support... from the INSTALL:
"If you configure using the --enable-widec option, a "w" is appended to
the library names (e.g., libncursesw.a), and the resulting libraries
support wide-characters, e.g., via a UTF-8 locale."
Not to step on your toes, I think you guys do great work, but I noticed no
one has tested it with a clean Solaris 9 system. I've seen 8, 10, and
Nevada have run nicely, but we exclusively run 9 and so far I have not
been able to get that ifdef to work on a clean FCS 9 build machine.
This goes for #842 as well. I'm not going to retype it there since you get
the emails for both tmcmahon2 ;) #842 is my real concern. #516 I can at
least get to work if I just define it, but I still haven't been able to
even start pidgin on any of our S9 boxes because of the pixmap segfault.
