#1543: Transitional renaming of XMPP to "XMPP (Jabber)"

I am not sure what the reason for the sudden renaming of Jabber to XMPP in
the Pidgin protocol list was, but from what I can see the result is
confusing to most users of Pidgin (including me).

For ethical reasons I mainly use XMPP/Jabber for instant messaging and I
recommend Pidgin as a client to everyone that asks me. But within the last
days I had two people writing back to me "Pidgin does not support Jabber,
but I downloaded program X now, which can do Jabber".

I suggest to call XMPP in the protocol list "XMPP (Jabber)" at least for a
transitional period, in order not to lose more users. Jabber is the name
that has been out there for a few years now, so most people know XMPP by
that name. The acronym "XMPP" does look scary to most beginners, but
 that's another story.

I would be glad to receive some opinions and support for the transitional
 renaming.

 Thanks, Meinhard Benn.
