 >Try this: 1. Edit your Google Talk account 2. Go to the "Advanced" tab 3.
Enable >"Force old (port 5223) SSL" 4. Set the connect port to 443 5. Set
 the connect server >to talk.google.com[[BR]]
Ok, it works fine with my company's proxy.[[BR]]
But with my company's proxy and port 80, it don't work. I have a write
 error.[[BR]]
 [[BR]]
 >If that doesn't work and you have port 80 open, then you can try
disabling old SSL, >setting the connect port to 80, the connect host to
talk.google.com, and the proxy >type to "No proxy."[[BR]]
 [[BR]]
I will add more information later after tests.

I need to use proxy in my company. There is no direct access with port 80
 for Internet.It don't work.[[BR]]
 [[BR]]
 >For MSN, the "Use HTTP Method" option should probably be enabled.[[BR]]
 I do it.[[BR]]
 >I don't know why it doesn't work for you--it works for me. Is it possible
that your >company is specifically blocking access to the MSN
 servers?[[BR]]
 No.[[BR]]
 >Are you able to connect with an official MSN client?[[BR]]
 Yes[[BR]]
 >Do you know the name of the software being used as the HTTP proxy?[[BR]]
Yes, it is a black box appliance : NetCache appliance
 (NetApp/6.0.2P2)[[BR]]
