 i installed hotfix kb933049, which fixes an issue with winsock connections
 failing.  now i am getting the winsock 10060 error.  the patch is only
 available by calling microsoft however a copy is hosted here
 http://transcode360.co.uk/files/folders/t360/entry675.aspx .  in addition
