 btw, I'm not sure that:

 pidgin -l accountname
 }}}
 ever worked, the correct syntax seems to be either
 {{{
 pidgin -laccountname
 }}}
 or
 {{{
 pidgin --login=accountname
 }}}
 ... this caused me much confusion in testing. The -n is certainly no
 longer required as it's implied by -l or --login now.
