Comment:

 Yes. I tried typing in the IRC handle of the person I was talking with and
 no logs were found. However, the log files do exist.

 In addition, there is no UI to view IRC logs without re-joining the
 channel first.

 By the way, I just confirmed that the problem with logging in AIM is non-
 reproducible.
