Comment:

 Sorry, I got a bit distracted there. I still have the changed code, but I
 haven't played with it in a while. I started cleaning it up but I started
 having more school-related work and I didn't get a chance to finish it.

 Currently it pretty much works, with a couple of known (non-fatal) bugs.
 However the build system to switch between Howl and Avahi at compile time
 isn't done yet.

 I can send the patch tomorrow if anyone has time to work on it anytime
 soon. If not, I should be getting more free time in a week or so, and if I
 stop procrastinating I should be done with it by the end of the month.
