 Every time i start pidgin it says something like "Cant read blist.xml,
 file was not loaded. Old file was moved to /home/user/.purple/blist.xml~."
 (its inaccurate translation from Russian).
 Looks like it is caused with one of my contacts:

 <buddy account='********' proto='prpl-icq'>

 <name>313911614</name>

 <alias>rgo</alias>

 </buddy>

 If i remove first symbol in alias field, pidgin starts fine, but then it
 writes list again and fails to read it at next startup. According to
 ghex2, this symbol is 0x08. I have no idea how it was added to nickname,
 but it caused no problems with gaim 2.0.
 Is there any way to fix it?

 I use pidgin 2.0.1 from Debian testing repository
