#1804: App Crashes on Canceled File Send
------------------------------+---------------------------------------------
Reporter: GTregay | Type: defect
Status: new | Priority: minor
Component: pidgin (gtk) | Version: 2.0.2
Keywords: crash, send file | Pending: 0
------------------------------+---------------------------------------------
The problem can be seen consistently and easily by initiating a file
transfer and cancelling it, before the recipient has a chance to accept or
reject it. Then, at the point that they do (accept/reject), the local
client crashes. This has been tested with the recipient client being
either Spark or Pidgin, with the same result (crash) in the sending
client. The following are the exact steps taken:[[BR]]
1. Open an IM window
1. Select __C__onversation -> Se__n__d File...
1. Select a file to send (double-click, type file name and press enter,
etc.)
1. Click '__S__top' on the 'File Transfers' dialog to cancel the send
1. On the recipient machine, choose to either accept or reject the file
(doesn't matter which)
1. Pidgin crashes (on the sending machine)
