 Sometimes when I try to set an alias for a contract by right-clicking on a
 contact and choosing "Alias...", nothing happens.  In particular, the
 problem shows up when the buddy list loses focus immediately after the
 popup menu closes.  This happens when closing the menu causes the mouse
 pointer to "land" outside the buddy list window and the windows manager is
 configured to automatically focus whichever window the pointer is in.
