Comment:

 I don't believe we care about the app_compat.txt file much, if you want to
 report a crash install the debug version of pidgin and report the crash
 with the pidgin.RPT file that gets left behind. All this is of course
 unrelated to the debug window, and even if the debug window did minimize
 to the tray it would still disappear when pidgin crashed and so wouldn't
 help you.
