 I had the same sort of problem with 2.0.2 on WinXP this morning, any
 attempt to start Pidgin resulted in a crash. A re-install of everything
 Pidgin-related did not improve this, but installing 2.0.1 did.

 I then installed the debug version of 2.0.2, and it doesn't crash. If I
 capture a stack trace I will add it here, but so far Pidgin is working
 perfectly <sigh>!
