 I was able to compile the code, but in attempting to make changes to the
 Win32 files, I only had mild luck with the giowin32.c sockets. The Win32
 subdirectory code in libpurple will need to be rewritten to work with the
 guidelines suggested by Microsoft for IPv6 porting, else another
 networking library (www.gnetlibrary.org perhaps) should be utilized as a
 handler. I'm not certain if the other flagged code has to be altered or
 not, since Pidgin does work on IPv6 in Linux.
