#1904: Segmentation fault related to libc6
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: talislincoln | Type: defect
   Status: new | Priority: minor
Component: pidgin (gtk) | Version: 2.0.0
 Keywords: libc6, crash | Pending: 0
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
I am using ubuntu 7.04 and gaim (lastest version of feisty) keeps crashing
with segmentation faults. I installed pidgin 2.0.0 (from here:
 http://www.freshnet.org/wordpress/2007/05/05/pidgin-200-for-ubuntu-feisty/
, I am too lazy to compile myself) and apparently it keeps crashing in a
quite consistent way. My libc6 version is 2.5.0ubuntu14 (if this does
matter) and this is some results I found with gdb while following the
 instructions of http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/GetABacktrace :

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Well, that's it. If you want a more detailed debug info just ask, and I
can check here in a few days.
