Comment:

 Just guessing, but I think revision #7164 on 2002/10/03 of gtk+ fixed
 this:
 http://svn.gnome.org/viewcvs/gtk%2B/trunk/gdk/gdkevents.c?revision=7164&view=markup

 If so, we can assume this only effects gtk+ < 2.2.0. I'll work up a new
 patch based on that assumption. I'm re-claiming this ticket for now.
