 OS: Windows XP SP2
 Version: Pidgin Beta 7

 Steps to repeat
 1.  Have the state set to available
 2.  Click the combobox/button with the text avaiable
 3.  Scroll over some of the options but don't select anything
 4.  Click the avaiable combobox/button again to not select anything
 5.  When trying to click the combobox/button again it won't let you until
     button loses focus

 I am not sure if this is a gaim bug or gtk bug?
