 You guys asked for opinions if something with pidgin makes it unusable, so
 here it goes. The away messages are really screwy. There doesn't seem to
 be any way to delete old, non-saved ones (maybe they fade with time, but
 you should still have some control). The default font doesn't seem to be
 applied to them when you're making them, which is a pain in the ass if you
 have a different than default font. Those two are fairly minor and not why
 I'm having trouble.

 What is really annoying is that font size for conversations. It's either
 way too big or way to small, and there's no point-size control over it.
 Moreover, fonts appear way bigger on other people's screens than they do
 on yours. When the size is fine on my window (~10) it's way too big (~14)
 on my roommate's computer (this is over AIM). I've been playing with this
 for a while and haven't seen any real workaround. If there's an extant
 solution to this problem I'm sorry for not finding it, but your webpage is
 a bit difficult to navigate and I'd say that Pidgin is nowhere near ready
 for average use. There's a bit of ease of customization lacking in some
 areas (especially conversation fonts and the away messages). Pidgin looks
 good and if you fix the fonts, then this will be a really good program.
