#511: Running Pidgin twice competes for access to accounts
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: sgarrity | Type: defect
   Status: new | Priority: minor
Component: pidgin (gtk) | Version: 2.0
 Keywords: | Pending: 0
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
If I run start up pidgin, forget about it, and then click to start it
again, rather than bringing up the already-running version, a new instance
is run. This second instance tries to connect to your accounts, and you
then get disconnected because there are two connection attemps.

Ideally, clicking to run pidgin when it is already running would just
bring the already running version into focus (show buddy list if its
 hidden, bring window to front).

I'm not sure if this is linux-only issue - does this happen on windows
 too?

 Perhaps GtkUnique could help?
