 It was removed because pidgin defaults to using tls if it is available, so
 the option (which never did anything by the way) was removed. I have a
 doubt that adding that is what fixed it but if you can reproduce the
 problem by removing it I would like to see the debug output of both
 connection attempts. Also, do you mean TLS on 5222 or SSL on 5223?
