 It doesn't sound like it is actually crashing, so there will be no RPT
 file.

 What does the debug log (Help->Debug Window) say when when these "blank"
 messages come in (You need to have the debug window open while receiving
 these messages)?

 Is it possible that the text is the same color as your background - Can
 you copy and paste the text into NotePad or something and have it show up?
