 I'd also really like to see this feature. It is so helpful if you are able
 to see the birthday of your buddy. And actually this shouldn't be too hard
 to implement.

 But I wouldn't implement this as a plugin, why not just make it a regular
 function/feature. Would this be painful to anyone?
