 The work around is there and it works about 75% of the time for me.
 Interestingly, all the gaim windows are triggering the mouse enter/leave
 events (conversations, buddy list). So you should be able to hover the
 mouse over any gaim window, the leave the window and the window should go
 away (at least 75% of the time here).

 I'm not holding my breath for this to get fixed upstream. I will see if I
 can improve our work around a bit.
