Comment:

 Joe,
 I tried adding aliases in to the www.pidgin.im site.  This broke things.
 Somehow a copy of the old webpage ended up in
 /var/www/htdocs_new/static/index.html

 We really need to be left with a doc explaining what is going on, how
 static is being generated, how to add aliases without breaking things,
 basically how the new site works.
