 downloaded version 2.0.0 today from sourceforge, problem is not fixed on
 my computer.. WinXP, newest version of gtk+ (2.10.11) and everything else.

 Characters are only visible on hovering in contact list and in actual
 conversation. (however, in conversation window, only stuff written by
 someone else is visible, not my own text or kanji and stuff in nick)
