#735: Pidgin crashes while syncing local and server list of ICQ
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: metalzelot | Type: defect
   Status: new | Priority: minor
Component: pidgin (gtk) | Version: 2.0
 Keywords: | Pending: 0
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
The last thing I've done is moving an offline ICQ-buddy which has just
added me to another group because I put him in the wrong group. After that
Pidgin crashed and now it doesn't want to restart. It starts and
immediately crashes. Pidgin crashes when it starts to handle the buddy
 I've just before added.

The last lines of running pidgin with --debug:

oscar: ssi: syncing local list and server list
oscar: ssi: removing buddy 492955012 from local list
oscar: ssi: removing buddy 492955012 from local list
Pidgin has segfaulted and attempted to dump a core file.
This is a bug in the software and has happened through
 no fault of your own.

Unfortunately I can't get a backtrace of this error because even before
this error appears there seems to be another error with backtrace/pidgin:

 (gdb) run
 Starting program: /usr/bin/pidgin
 [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
 [New Thread -1219942736 (LWP 8718)]

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
[Switching to Thread -1219942736 (LWP 8718)]
 purple_status_type_get_primitive (status_type=0x1) at status.c:366
 366             return status_type->primitive;
 (gdb)

I couldnt find the core file which can be used for gdb. Do you have some
ideas where I could find it? Though actually I believe that there isn't a
core file at all. Because I've never set up that there should be one
 somewhere.

If I can provide any further information I'd love to give them.
