 this is the sasl related output from ldd
 /usr/lib/purple-2/libjabber.so.0:[[BR]]
 libsasl2.so.2 => /usr/lib/libsasl2.so.2 (0xb7eaf000)[[BR]]
 looks ok to me... do I need to check something else?
