 Probably it depends from installed plugins cause from another pc this bug
 doesn't occur and there's no plugin installed. Anyway the plugin list is:
 - buddy state notification
 - conversation color
 - extended preferences
 - extplacement
 - iconify on away
 - last seen
 - message notification
 - message timestamps
 - offline message emulation
 - release notification
 - ssl info
 - timestamps
 - transparency
 - windows pidgin options

 i can try to disable them and check the bug.
