 I'm getting the same crash, but this is my first install, so I don't have
 any libs in /usr/local/lib.  I'm having the hardest time finding
 everything, as the website is broken pretty badly.

 So, if I'm installing pidgin-2.0.0-0.1.fc6.i386.rpm, what version of
 libpurple should I be installing?  I can't find one on the site here, and
 the RPM searches all come up with libpurple-2.0.0-0.beta7.fc6.i386.rpm.
 Is there a libpurple-2.0.0-0.1?
