 I also have this problem. I'm running Pidgin on two different machines,
 one at home and the other at work, both machines run Windows XP SP2.

 The problem appears in all of the above situations. After using Pidgin
 (and Gaim 2betaX) for a while I would say that the pattern that crashes
 Pidgin (and Gaim too) is when I try to close (exit Pidgin/Gaim) by right-
 clicking on the tray icon and chose Quit. Every time when I try to close
 the program like this, it crashes.

 If i try to quit using the buddy-list's Buddies menu, then it quits nice
 and silently, and doesn't crashes.

 I'm also using it on my home machine while running Ubuntu Feisty Fawn
 (7.04). On Ubuntu when I log out or otherway end my worksession, then re-
 login a crash report applet is jumping into my face saying that Pidgin has
 crashed. So, I think there might be some bug regarding the termination of
 the program.
