 Ran into this same problem, Using Windows XP SP2, Pidgin v 2.0

 Crashes every time I try to add a yahoo account, does let me know if I put
 in wrong password.

 I don't think crashing when adding an account should ever be minor, but oh
 well if it's fixed in this next version.
