Comment:

 On CentOS 4 the following should make sure all libpurple/pidgin/gaim
 related RPMs are removed:
 {{{
 yum remove libpurple gaim
 }}}
 Then when you have downloaded libpurple, libpurple-meanwhile & pidgin RPMs
 for CentOS 4, from the directory they were downloaded to you can do:
 {{{
 yum localinstall libpurple-2.0.0-0.1.el4.i386.rpm libpurple-
 meanwhile-2.0.0-0.1.el4.i386.rpm pidgin-2.0.0-0.1.el4.i386.rpm
 }}}
 Note that with RPM based distributions you should never use --nodeps or
 --force to install an RPM - if they fail to install it's for a reason, and
 it's normally a good reason.
