 Preferences do not save using Windows LUA. I have noticed this since beta
 5 - the first version of pidgin I ever used.

 To reproduce this login as an account that is member of ONLY "Users".
 Launch pidgin and change preference(s). Close and reopen pidgin. Notice
 the changes have not been saved.

 I have seen this behavior on Windows XP and Windows Vista.
