 What's happening
  1. Multiple errors occur in quick succession
  2. Pidgin floods the user with prompts

 What should really happen:
  1. Multiple errors occur
  2. Every error increments a counter
  3. If the counter exceeds a threshold (3?), further errors should be
 suppressed from bringing up a popup
  4. The end user should have some way to retrieve further errors on demand
 (ala errors in the buddy list)
