 Pidgin died on me on my first attempt to run it after installation
 (Windows XP SP 2, all patches). I downloaded the debug build and created a
 backtrace. The problem appears to be caused by Pidgin trying to convert
 some data from an earlier Trillian (v3.1, Build 121) install I still had
 lingering on my hard drive. I removed Trillian and tried to run again, and
 Pidgin seems to work now. Still, not the most elegant fix I think, so
 perhaps you could look into it?

 I attached the debug.log I created. I also still have the Trillian
 installer I used, but at 9 MB I thought it would be a tad large for an
 attachment. If you need it for debugging just send me an email at "ot ten
 thije [at)gmail dot com" (without spaces of course) and I'll send it to
 you.
