 This particular message looks like it is indeed 270 characters to me.  I
 don't see a problem here, and I don't see a problem in our SIP code.  Is
 it possible that !OpenSer requires a trailing \n on the XML document?
 (XML requires no such thing, I don't know about the SIMPLE standard.)
