 I just tried a different version of Pidgin on my machine - the debug
 version on Sourceforge, and it crashes as well when adding a yahoo
 account.

 This is not an isolated problem on one machine either - I tried to install
 it at home, and it crashed so I just assumed that it was in conflict with
 some of the software I have installed there, so I tried to install it at
 work as well - same problem. MSN loads fine, Yahoo accounts crash it.
