#1063: "Sign on"/"Sign off" icons pointing to the wrong directions
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------

--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
In the old gaim, when a buddy signs in, the icon shows an arrow pointing
towards a door, and when a buddy signs out, the icon shows an arrow
 pointing away from a door.

In the new pidgin (with the new non-protocol-specific icons), the icons
shown are exactly the opposite; i.e., the "sign in" icon is an arrow
pointing away from the door (to the left), and the "sign out" icon is an
arrow pointing towards the door (to the right). This has a couple of
 problems:
  * This confuses long-time gaim users because the semantics of the icons
 are exactly the opposite
  * When a buddy signs in, the new icon design looks like the buddy is
leaving the buddy list in LTR locales (going from the left edge towards
the left side -> drops out of the buddy list); similarly, when a buddy
signs out, the new icon design looks like the buddy is entering the buddy
 list in LTR locales

Perhaps the direction of the arrow should be reversed back to the old
directions for LTR locales. The new directions should probably be kept for
the RTL locales (where the icons appear on the right edge of the buddy
list), but RTL language users probably should decide. If it is impossible
to determine writing direction at runtime, I think the directions should
all be reverted back to the old gaim directions.
