Comment:

 Aaahhhh. You have a copy of pidgin you compiled yourself installed, you
 are not running the version installed from the RPM.

 To remove your locally compiled copy, go to the pidgin-2.0.0 source
 directory and do "make uninstall"

 To run the RPM installed version of Pidgin explicitly, run /usr/bin/pidgin
 instead of just "pidgin"
