 I don't understand how the Content-Length header is anything but the final
 header in our header block, and how it would be followed by anything but
 \r\n\r\n<body>.  (See simple.c:648).  Is that the packet as you are
 receiving it directly from Pidgin, or is there a SIP relay or something in
 between which might be munging it?  Can you get a packet dump of the
 PUBLISH request leaving Pidgin?
