 Well hobbified, I _am_ a Pidgin user and the new look really IS a benefit
 to me, so before you talk about a "benefit to no one", perhaps you should
 really ask every user out there?

 Anyway, writing software with the user in mind is the way to go, sure, but
 don't forget that most OSS developers actually only do this in their spare
 time, so all you can do is make a comment and try to explain a new idea,
 contribute code or just live with what is offered to you, you cannot force
 your personal preferences to be satisfied.
