Comment:

 It took quite some time to find the cause of this crash.  Near as I can
 tell, it is related to the duplicate buddy deletion crash that was
 recently fixed.  I can't reproduce an immediate startup crash, but I can
 reproduce a delayed crash approximately 30 to 60 seconds after startup
 reliably, as well as a crash when deleting the buddies.  Using current MTN
 the crashes didn't recur for me.  I'm marking this as fixed.
