Comment:

 By all means come up with a useful, generic, user-friendly, simple, and
 clean interface for binding any and all GTK+ level bindings in pidgin and
 I will happily accept a plugin/patch for it. I have been unable to think
 of such an interface, have universally disliked every other applications
 attempts at such in, and have absolutely no interest in hacking in a non-
 generic solution to this 'issue'.

 As to the development, at no time did it actually go dormant, it just had
 to appear that way for legal reasons.
