 Steps:[[BR]]
 1. Sign into gmail for account A[[BR]]
 2. When using gmail, sign out of chat (not sure this step is
 necessary)[[BR]]
 3. Use pidgin to log on account A for chatting[[BR]]
 4. Send email to xyz at asdf.com (any address, may be invalid)[[BR]]
 As a result, xyz at asdf.com is added to the pidgin buddy list, even if
 xyz at asdf.com is not a valid google talk account. If the order of steps 3
 and 4 is changed, there is no problem.[[BR]]

 Also,[[BR]]
 1. Sign into gmail for account B[[BR]]
 2. When using gmail, sign out of chat (not sure this step is
 necessary)[[BR]]
 3. Use pidgin to log on account B for chatting[[BR]]
 4. In gmail, remove contact C which is in the buddy list.[[BR]]
 The contact C is still present in the pidgin buddy list, but when C logs
 onto google talk pidgin still indicates C is offline. If the order of
 steps 3 and 4 is changed, there is no problem.
